D/S Børøysund
Berthed below Akershus fortress on Oslo’s waterfront lies D/S Børøysund, an old steam ship previously used as a passenger ferry in western and northern Norway. The vessel is now owned by the Norwegian Veteran Ship Club and is a valued part of the nation’s maritime heritage. Nautisk Forlag contributes to its upkeep. Statsraad Lehmkuhl and Christian Radich are established icons in Norway’s sailing milieu. These full-riggers are known for their participation in regattas and film recordings, but mostly act as training ships for eager pupils from around the world. Nautisk Forlag is proud to be one of their ongoing sponsors.
